Construction features
Tops: fine quarter-sawn spruce used on all models for superior tonal range and traditional "Loar" tone. Full perimeter graduation for maximum top response. Hand graduated and tap-tuned to each model's specifications. Two Tone-bars with asymmetrical placement for Bluegrass or X braccing designed for full tone and projection with light strings. Backs: Highly-figured maple, graduated and tap-tuned in relation to top. Gotoh Nickel hardware is installed as standard, gold is available on request. Finest ebony used on all models, radiused for ease of playing, 13 7/8" standard scale.
